Dragonfly Cruises, Canal Basin, Canal Road, Brecon, PowysCruise the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal from Brecon to Brynich, 2½ miles through a lock over an aquaduct, 2½ hours return. Public and private trips available from March to October.

The Dragonfly leaves Brecon Canal Basin, from its mooring alongside Theatr Brycheiniog, for a 2 ½ hour cruise along the Monmouth and Brecon Canal, through the Brecon Beacons National Park.

The Turner family has run Cwmfforest Riding Centre since 1970 and has developed a range of fully inclusive quality riding holidays for capable adult riders. We offer a friendly greeting, log fires, comfortable bed, wholesome traditional fare and a trustworthy Welsh Cob to carry you to the back of beyond.

Craig-y-Nos Castle

Fishing on the River Tawe at Craig-y-Nos Castle
The River Tawe flows down from its source in the limestone hills overlooking Craig-y-Nos Castle and the Swansea Valley. It is a beautiful clear stream which supports both wild and migratory trout (sewin). Salmon run up from the sea, 20 miles away, to spawn in its headwaters. The river is also stocked with large rainbow trout by the Tawe Angling Association.

Craig-y-Nos Castle has fishing rights on the river as it flows past the castle and residential guests are welcome to fish in the castle grounds
